On the face of it a film about a Japanese toilet cleaner would not seem to have a lot of appeal. However 31 of the 42 members who voted rated it as Good or Very Good. Only 7 thought it was OK and 4 just felt it was poor. The Internet Media Database( IMDb) rating was 7.9 our audience rated it slightly higher at 8.0

• who’d have thought Japanese toilets were so architecturally pleasing to the eye and technologically inspirational! The film was a good snapshot of life and the ebb and flow of emotions. Reminds me of seeking simplicity where i can.

This vintage Hollywood Classic film was well received by the 43 attendees, which included 3 guests. Unfortunately the auditorium was even colder than usual, which can be attributed to the recent storm which removed part of the swimming pool roof and led to the heating being switched off!

From the feedback forms twenty eight members gave it the top rating of “Very Good”, with nine giving it as “Good” and three members thinking it was just “OK”

The IMDb rating for this film was 8.1 out of 10, our members liked it much better than the general public giving an equivalent score of 9.2

Forty seven members and three guests braved the freezing conditions and were rewarded with a film which was very well received. From the rating slips returned, 40 scored it the maximum of five out of five, 4 gave it 4 and only one person rated it a two.

Thirty Two Members braved the awful stormy weather to enjoy a social gathering with wine, soft drinks and nibbles before the screening.

The Film was well received with an average score of 8.8 out of 10 which was better than the IMDb score of 7.7.

Only 34 members attended this showing which was a shame as it was very well received with a rating of 8.2 /10 (IMDb 8.4). Nearly half the attendees considered it as excellent.
